Every year, Midway does something that reminds us exactly why we chose to put down roots here. Swiss Days 2026 was that reminder, times ten.
This was our second year celebrating Swiss Days as a Flower Bar Co. shop, and our very first year in the parade. We had no idea what to expect. It exceeded everything.
What is Swiss Days?
Midway, Utah has been our home since 2020, and Swiss Days is one of the reasons we love it as deeply as we do. Rooted in the heritage of Midway's Swiss and Scandinavian settlers, Swiss Days has been celebrated on the Midway Town Square since 1947, honoring the traditions, craftsmanship, and community spirit that shaped this remarkable little mountain town.
What began as a small local gathering has grown into one of Utah's most beloved annual festivals, drawing nearly 100,000 visitors each Labor Day weekend and earning its place as the second-largest festival in the state. Walking through the square during Swiss Days, you feel the weight and the warmth of that history in every direction.
Inside the Shop During Swiss Days
In the shoppe, the energy was just as electric as out in the square. Our Midway location was fully decked out for the occasion, Swiss flags and all, with fresh fall florals, Halloween home decor, Christmas decorations, and curated seasonal gifts.
The town was full, the energy was warm, and we loved every single moment of seeing familiar and new faces come through our doors. We sold out of our most coveted items, welcomed visitors from across the Wasatch Front and beyond, and felt genuinely grateful for everyone who chose to spend part of their Swiss Days with us.
Our First Swiss Days Parade
This year, for the first time, Flower Bar Co. joined the Swiss Days parade. We piled into our decorated vintage Bronco in full Swiss dirndl, flew Swiss flags from the back, handed out candy and single stems from our signature Flower Bar to the crowds lining the streets, and smiled until it hurt from the reception.
The community showed up in a way that genuinely moved us. Every float was more creative than the last. Every local business brought pride and energy to the parade route.
The love from the crowds, the waves and smiles from familiar faces, the little hands reaching out for stems and candy along the route — it was one of those mornings that reminds you why community matters and why showing up for it, fully and joyfully, is always worth it.
